SETTING THE STAGE IMPORTANT

AND PERFORMANCE DAY REMINDERS
 

IN-STUDIO RUN THROUGH INFORMATION

On Tuesday, May 30, 2023, 4:30-5:30pm, PDA will be holding its Setting the Stage classes’ recital run-through at PDA’s main studio location (156 W South Boundary, Perrysburg). 

  • Dancers should wear regular class dance wear to the run-through.  (No costumes should be worn to the in-studio run through.)

  • Don’t forget to bring their dance shoes! 

  • Dancers can bring a water bottle, but they should not bring any food or valuables. 

  • Drop-off is between 4:20-4:30.

  • Pick-up is promptly at 5:30. IMPORTANT: Please send only one parent in to pick up your child. The dancers will remain in Studio B until they have been picked up. If you have made other arrangements for your child (for example, if a friend or fellow dance parent is driving them home), please be sure to notify the front desk associate on duty.

 

PERFORMANCE DAY INFORMATION

 

ALL Setting the Stage classes (Act 1, Act 2, and Encore) are performing on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 1:00pm, at Owens Community College’s Center for the Fine and Performing Arts.

 

IMPORTANT POINTS FOR STS PARENTS REGARDING THEIR PERFORMANCE:

Arrival - 

  • Dancers should arrive between 12:15 and 12:30pm, fully dressed in their costume, with hair & makeup done, and ready to perform. 

  • PLEASE DO NOT FORGET THEIR DANCE SHOES 

  • Upon arrival please ask your child one last time if they need a bathroom break. (There are restrooms in the lobby.)

  • Parents should bring dancers to the backstage door in the lobby and drop them off. A runner will take the dancers to the stage. Teachers will be waiting on the stage to organize their dancers.

  • Dancers should leave ALL belongings with their grown-ups. 

Dismissal - 

  • All Setting the Stage classes will be announced at the end of the show to come out and take a bow! 

  • After every class has had their curtain call, classes will be dismissed to their grown-ups from the stage. We will dismiss classes one at a time from both sides of the stage (varying between left and right). 

  • Please pay attention to hear your dancer’s class being dismissed and send ONE representative to gather them up. 

  • SAFETY NOTICE: Do not encourage dancers to jump off of the front of the stage into your arms as other children might follow suit and get injured!
